1. What if my group is larger than 12?

We can normally accommodate any size of group. Please email your dates, preferred time, pick-up location, and number of travellers to hello@greatguidesliverpool.com, and we’ll create the right arrangement for you.

2. Is this just a standard walking tour?

Not at all. This isn’t a scripted history lesson or a list of dates. The Scouse Safari is storytelling on the streets — a living, breathing introduction to Liverpool through humour, song, poetry, and real local insight.

3. What makes the Scouse Safari different from other Liverpool tours?

Most tours focus on landmarks. This one focuses on identity. You’ll still see the major sites, plus explore the highs and lows, the heroes and villains, the poetry and punchlines that shaped the city. The tour is immersive, personal, and guided by a true local  — not a headset and a script.

4. Do we visit pubs and music venues?

You will see pubs, music venues, and cultural landmarks that define Liverpool’s character. There’s always time to pause, soak up the atmosphere, and experience the city properly. You have the option to go inside The Cavern Club (£5) or we end with views across the whole city where you can buy a drink.

5. Isn’t Liverpool all about The Beatles?

The Beatles are part of Liverpool’s story — but they’re not the whole story. The Scouse Safari explores the city’s bohemian spirit, British Empire heritage, working-class roots, musical legacy, humour, resilience, and fiercely independent identity.

6. Is this tour suitable for everyone?

If you’re curious about what makes Liverpool feel different the moment you arrive, this tour is for you. Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, you’ll leave with stories, insight, and a deeper connection to the city.

Yes. The Scouse Safari is a fully private and personalised experience. We will help you choose the starting point. The guest sets the pace, breaks, and rhythm of the day. If we need to alter the route we will let you know.

8. Where can you pick me up from?

During checkout enter your hotel, cruise port, train arrival or other central point. If you are staying outside the centre of Liverpool, please book your tour and our concierge will be in touch to arrange the most seamless and convenient experience for you.
